Old Sacramento

By Rachel Estrada

This is a picture from Old Sacramento it is one of my favorites i love how the shadowing defines this structure and makes it look so bold.

By Rachel EstradaThis is in the candy store I focused on the bucket. So the candy in the background is blurred. I tried to get most of the lighting on the bucket.

Today I was learning how to pan and it was also kind of a free shoot. It was really fun to learn how to make  it look blurry and clear at the same time it was amazing.

Formal Portraits

By Rachel Estrada

This is a photo of Xavier he was modeling today so we can learn to take a nice and lean formal portrait.
He was very relaxed and calm. I think he looked better with his glasses on. He looks very nice.

This was behind the scenes of what was happening and what we were learning. We were seeing how the lighting affected the subjects. It was difficult at first. We ended up getting the hang of it.

Formal Portraits.

By Rachel Estrada

Learning how to take self portraits today. This is a picture of Britany. I focused on her I had to adjust the f-stop and the shutter speed to get some nice lighting. I had to take this picture about five times. She looks gorgeous and the wall really makes her standout more.

This picture is of Misty. She looks really pretty in this picture. I had to really adjust the exposure quite a few times. She looks amazing. It was really cool learning to take formal portraits.

Manual Mode

By Rachel Estrada

The photo I took learning how to use the manual mode, shutter speed, depth of field, f-stop, and aperature. Manual Mode is harder to use but definitely more fun. You can make the image look how you would want to see it with the different time and exposure and shutter speeds.

This picture is of the produce market. Where I go every week for class. Is a lot of fun here especially with the really amazing teachers.

The very first photo I took in manual mode. The f-stop was at f/2.8 and the shutter speed was at 1/2000. This is my absolutely favorite picture because this is what I see each week and photography is my new favorite class. This is a very common thing to see in this class.
